Design: Total RNA was isolated from either 30 males or 15 females wit Trizol, treated with RNase-free DNase I in solution and cleaned with RNeasy Mini Kit. Total RNA was purified using using poly-T oligo-attached magnetic beads, fragmented at elevated temperature, and retrotranscribed to cDNA. Size selection: 250bp; Agarose gel; Multiplexing for sequencing using custom-designed adapters with Tags. Tags have been eliminated in the fastq files.
